PRTO 4902 Social Impact Senior Seminar: Leading for Social Impact (Spring: 3 )

Course Description

The Managing for Social Impact (MSI) Senior Seminar is a synthesis course designed to integrate the various theoretical and practical themes of MSI by returning to its core directive: identifying the challenges and opportunities for generating social impact, and bringing to bear our accumulated knowledge and experience to develop and apply practical solutions to some of the most pressing social challenges in the contemporary world. After exploring the theories and methods of institutional analysis, ethical leadership, and the evaluation of social impact, students will apply their insights through a practicum that involves on-site analysis and in-class reporting on the social stakes, management challenges, and stakeholder relationships of an outside organization.
