ENGL 4935 Writing and Composition Pedagogy for Secondary School Teachers (Spring: 3 )

Course Description

Students will attend and observe a section of First-Year Writing Seminar (FWS) to understand different methods and approaches for teaching writing. The students will then meet once a week to discuss how and if some of these approaches might be adapted for use in a high- school or middle-school course. Finally, students will develop 3-4 writing assignments or activities that could be used in a high- school or middle school setting. The course is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students.
