SPAN 3366 Spanish Culture and Civilization (Fall: 3 )

Course Description

This course will examine Spain's multicultural civilization from the prehistoric cave paintings of Altamira through post-Franco Spain. The history of Spanish civilization will be integral to the study of examples of Spanish literature, art and film. We will consider struggles of religion, class, minority groups, and power in the creation and questioning of national identity.
