ECON 2204 Macroeconomic Theory: Honors Level (Spring: 3 )


Course Description

A more intensive treatment of the same material presented in ECON2202 covering the theory and practice of macroeconomics. Open to anyone who has done well in Principles of Economics. The course focuses on the underlying determinants of economic growth, unemployment and inflation by developing and analyzing a variety of models. A central feature of the course includes understanding the ability and limitations of macroeconomic policy for stabilizing the business cycle and promoting long-term growth. Multivariate Calculus MATH 2202 recommended.

Prerequisites: ECON1132 AND ECON1131 AND MATH1100. Multivariate Calculus MATH 2202 recommended.
