ADEC 3371 International Trade (Fall: 4 )


Course Description

This course introduces students to the leading questions in the field of international trade – such as, Why do countries trade? Who gains? Who loses out? The course explores the gains from trade, the impact of tariffs and non-tariff barriers to trade. The course also examines the justifications for trade protection, its effects on the economy, historical and contemporary U.S. trade policy and the economics of regional and multilateral trade agreements. Students can be concurrently enrolled in the Econometrics course.
